MEPHITIS were a Melodic Death Metal band from Edenderry, Co. Offaly, Ireland and were active from 1993 to 1998. Their first recording to be released was a track called ‘Soul Demise’ that was featured on the Irish underground metal compilation tape called ‘In Gods Own Image – Vol.3′. In 1995, the band went through a line-up change and in February 1996 the band headed into Electra Studios in Dublin to record their debut demo called "Blinded".

In 1997, tracks for a second demo entitled "Casseopia 12" had been written, rehearsed and jam room recordings were made by the remaining two members John and Robert. No official recording was ever made!
