Mary Crow Dog
Real name: Mary Brave Bird
Lakota writer and activist born in 1953. She is also known as Mary Brave Bird and Mary Brave Woman Olguin. She is the ex-wife of Leonard Crow Dog and was inspired by him to join the American Indian Movement (AIM) at the age of 18. She is best known for her book "Lakota Woman" which was adapted for a made-for-TV-movie in 1994.
