MIDNIGHT RIDER is a classic heavy rock band from Germany, formed in Koblenz in 2004 by guitarist and main songwriter Blumi. The first line-up was a German-Japanese alliance and consisted of vocalist Wayne Micha Baum (ex-British Steel), guitarists Blumi (ex-Metal Inquisitor, Metalucifer) and Samm Shinji Tachi (Magnesium, ex-Sabbat), bassist Cliff Bubenheim (ex-Metal Inquisitor, Deathfist, Metalucifer) and drummer Kenji Naruse (Gorgon).

After the release of the self-titled 12inch Maxi-Single "Midnight Rider" in 2008, the band quickly made itself a name in the underground scene all around the globe. Since 2013, MIDNIGHT RIDER features a new and all-German line-up and released its long awaited debut album "Manifestation" in April 2017 via Massacre Records. The second full length album "Beyond The Blood Red Horizon" was released in October 2022 via Massacre Records.
