Pet was an American alternative rock band featuring vocalist Lisa Papineau, guitarist Tyler Bates (Marilyn Manson), bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Nine Inch Nails) and drummer Alex LoCascio, with Meldal-Johnsen later being replaced by Juan Alderete (Racer X, Marilyn Manson, The Mars Volta) who would subsequently go onto form Big Sir with Papineau. Their self-titled album Pet (1996) was released on Tori Amos's vanity label, Igloo. They also contributed songs to the soundtracks for The Crow: City of Angels ("Lil' Boots") and The Last Time I Committed Suicide ("Ride My Heart"), as well as an Olivia Newton-John cover on a Rock for Choice benefit compilation ("Have You Never Been Mellow").
