Amber were 5 friends from Marburg, Germany playing the music they love. They were influenced by bands like Cult of Luna, Time to Burn, Isis, AmenRa, The Ocean, Neurosis.

".....With great pain I have to announce:
Amber is dead
We got informed just yesterday that Julian decided to leave the band. We remaining three are still in shock and disappointed beyond all measures. Over the last months we have struggled to return to a consistent lineup and only managed to play shows with different stand-ins while we tried to work on our next album. This decision now has put these efforts in vain and we feel that we don't have the strength anymore to pick up the pieces of Amber.
Therefore we decided to lay this band to rest and start from scratch. We are so sorry to let you all down like this! Thanks go out to everyone who has helped this band out in any way!!
We hope the saying is true that sometimes things must die to make way for better things.
We will continue to make music so hopefully we will see you all again sometime.
