American composer, arranger, and orchestrator.
Born November 17, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Died December 2, 1981 (61 years of age) in Danbury, Connecticut, USA.
Orchestrator of several classical music pieces and co-orchestrator of several Broadway shows, most notably some of Leonard Bernstein's, including "Candide", "On the Town", and the 1950 semi-musical Broadway revival of "Peter Pan". He was also the conductor on musicals such as Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita".
