Perro Lipigas

Spike, popularly known as Perro Lipigas (Lipigas Dog) was the mascot of the chilean gas company Lipigas.

He was an unnamed street quiltro. Jose Montanares, police sergeant and dog trainer, found him setting the streets of Lo Prado, Santiago and trained him and named him "Spike". He started by sharing routines with German pastors trained by his coach in college shows. It was 2004 and the dog, who had already worked for brands like Coca-Cola and Johnson's, receives the call of what would be the "role" of his career: he is forever transformed into the "Lipigas puppy". Multiple commercials, including one where he shared with Gary Medel, cemented a fame that led him to have a YouTube account with over 460k likes. The announcer Edu Valenzuela was the voice of Spike on television, however, curiously, he never knew him.

Spike died the night of Thursday 18 of March of 2016 victim of a heart attack to the 14 years, that is to say, it was an animal that was already in the third age.
