The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan is a Russian symphony orchestra founded in 1966 and based in Kazan.The idea of creating a symphony orchestra in Tatarstan belonged to the chairman of the Union Of Composers Of Tatarstan Republic, rector of the Kazan State Conservatory Nazib Zhiganov / Назиб Жиганов.
Over the years, outstanding conductors Veronica Dudarova, Eduard Serov, Arnold Katz, Vladimir Ziva have worked with the orchestra.
Note:
Until 1991 it was called - Симфонический Оркестр Татарской Государственной Филармонии Имени Г. Тукая / Symphony Orchestra of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukay.
