Biography
Dead Begins
Members: Ariel Kars
From the Biography of "The Right Rabbit": In 1981, Arial Kars dropped out of his studies and founded a musical duo called "Dead Begins" (Dead Begins, an Israeli tribute to the band Dead Kennedys) together with an English punk named Greg Dunn. Dead Begins played punk with industrial influences and released, unofficially, two tapes: "Kibbutsim Chaos" and "Live Chaos", the latter, as its name suggest, in a live performance. The texts were written in English and dealt with kibbutz life. Of the duo's songs, the melodic song "God, Burn Haifa" (appeared in 1994 on the compilation tape of the Israeli punk bands "Parverotti") stood out. During the first performance (which was also joined by Alon Shaar to play) a scandal accrued, after during the performance of the song "Death Turkeys" turkey corpses were thrown at the audience. In response, the shocked audience threw the bodies back onto the stage. Another provocation took place during the performance of the song "Dishwasher" which the audience was sprayed with soap and water and plates and cutlery were thrown at them. Again, to illustrate the lyrics of the song. Before performing in Rosh Hanikara, the duo was warned in advance by the local culture coordinator not to repeat These actions, but chose to ignore the ban.
