US American composer who has spent much of her musical career in the UK.
She majored in both music and fine art at the University of California, Los Angeles before relocating to London.

Laurie Mayer was part of the band Torch Song with William Orbit and Rico Conning and later worked with Etienne Daho on the albums "Pop Satori" and "Pour Nos Vies Martiennes". She also took part of Bassomatic with William Orbit.

Laurie Mayer released her first solo album in 2006, "Black Lining", on her own Theomorph-label.
