(b. 7 June 1928) Harvard-educated physician and published author, originally based in Boston, who also collected and sang folk songs. A multi-lingual world traveler, he made a handful of folk albums in the 1950s and 1960s before resuming his medical career full time. After a relocation to Honolulu, Dr. Ginandes' license allowing him to prescribe controlled substances was revoked in 2010, following an investigation by the DEA.
