Classical trombonist. Has played with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège (since 1980), the ensembles Ictus and Ensemble Musique Nouvelle among others.
Has founded various ensembles: Quatuor de Trombones de Liège (1983-1996), the brass quintett Brass Label (1996-2000) , L'Autre Trio (with the violinist Izumi Okubo and the pianist Marcel Cominotto).
Not to be confused with the drummer and guitarist Alain Pire (2).
