Australian composer, arranger & conductor

At least 20 compositions published 1918-1973. Best known as a composer of film music and incidental music for radio & recording. Wrote for the Australian film "Long John Silver" and the ABC production "Death Of A Wombat" which won the Italia prize in 1959. In London 1935-1938. Returned to Australia in 1939 and was conductor of the Melbourne ABC Wireless Chorus. Music editor at Palings and wrote a music column for the Sydney "Daily Mirror". Won the ABC Prize for a symphonic work with his overture "For A Royal Occasion". Joined the editorial staff of "Record Guide" in Dec., 1954.
