He was a Brazilian singer, composer and trovador. Possessed a very close style to the traditional singer Teixeirinha, two of them were a couple of finds and many times they attacked the music by rejoicing at the plates with his rhymes, a rivalry on the anniversary, with 17 recorded albums. Gildo ate today the title of "O Rei dos Trovadores" and also "O Rei do Improviso", from the regions of Brazil. Born in Alegrete (RS), on the 19th of June 1919, and killed in Porto Alegre on the 4th of December 1982, aged 63, victim of natural causes. His body was buried in the Municipal Cemitério Dois de Novembro, in Viamão, in greater Porto Alegre.
