Well-known Scottish melodeon (diatonic button accordion) player (born 1861 in Dalziel, Scotland – died 1920 in Strathaven, Scotland)

Between 1901 and 1915, Peter Wyper made numerous recordings for Columbia, Regal, and other labels, sometimes playing duets with his younger brother Daniel Wyper (1872-1947). On some of his early recordings, the piano player accompanying him may be his brother James Wyper.
