Dwight McCall

American bluegrass mandolin player.
He's the son of Jim McCall. From Cincinnati, Ohio (born in Maryland).
He began playing mandolin as a teenager: First pro job: Vernon McIntyre’s Appalachian Grass. From 1992-1995, he had a band called Union Springs. In 1995, he worked with Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen. In 1996, he joined J. D. Crowe and the New South. In 1999, he released his first solo project “Kentucky Peace of Mind” (no label).In 2007, he released "Never Say Never Again" album (Rural Rhythm). In 2012, he formed the band American Drive with other former members of J.D. Crowe and the New South (after Crowe retired).
