Biography
Lawrence "Stash" Wagner
US guitarist and singer (July 5, 1948 NYC).
Lawrence “Stash” Wagner is a veteran musician with Sonoma Valley connections and a footnote in rock and roll history. When Wagner was a young man, he wrote the song “Don’t Bogart Me” (aka “Don’t Bogart That Joint”), a song that became a big hit after it was included in the soundtrack of the movie “Easy Rider.” After several years living the rock and roll lifestyle, wanderlust beckoned and Wagner answered the call. He sold a prized electric guitar, financing his travels around the world. Wagner eventually landed in the Philippines, met a beautiful Filipino woman, settled, and is raising a family in “a small village on the side of a volcano.”
