American pop singer from the 1960's.
Born 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She had a regional hit under her alias Marcy Joe in 1961 on the Robbee label with "Ronnie", a song she wrote at age 17 about her boyfriend. It was released in March of 1961 and became a Pittsburgh hit, reaching #7 on the National Record Mart sales rankings. Liberty records then gave it national distribution. By the end of May 1961 “Ronnie” reached #81 on Billboard's Hot 100, #64 on the Cash Box charts, and #27 in Variety.
Se also charted with a duet with Eddie Rambeau with "Lover's Medley The More I See You/When I Fall in Love", which hit #132 in 1963. She recorded briefly under Marcy Jo for SWAN after the Robbee label folded in 1962. She married her sweetheart Howard (aka Ronnie) and retired from singing in 1963.
