Real name: Nathaniel Leon Jones

American saxophonist, organist (on "I Feel Good"), arranger, composer who worked with James Brown since 1964 as director of The James Brown Band. Owner of the publisher Najam Music. Born April 27, 1939 - Died January 24, 2014, at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, N.C.

Not to be confused with Nate Jones, drummer who also played with James Brown.
Not to be confused with Nat Jones, who was an alto saxophonist active in Chicago (1940s).
