Real name: Robert Boyd Snyder

Jazz woodwind player and arranger.
Born: 11 August 1936 in Danville, Indiana, USA.
Died: 28 August 2019 in Florida, USA.

His father led an Air Force band. Snyder played professionally for the first time when he was eight years old. While in high school, Bob Snyder won the All State Indiana Music Contest for four years in a row. Later he also served as staff musician for Motown Records (Detroit), Stax Records (Memphis), and WJR radio. In 1984, Snyder became music director of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Snyder also started his own record label Saxy Records Inc., which sold his records as well as records by others. The last years he lived in Florida.
