Electronic & mixed media composer born in Bolzano (Italia) 1 August 1943 and trained at the Conservatory of Bolzano and Firenze (Italia). Died 28 January 2024.

1964-69 Early collaborator of fellow composer Pietro Grossi at Studio di Fonologia Musicale di Firenze (S 2F M).
1969-70 Canada Council Fellowship for electronic music.
1970-73 Lecturer at McGill University, Montréal, Canada.
1974-75 Music workshop at the Psychatric Unit Hospital in Volterra (Italia).
1975 Collaboration with World Soundscape Project founded by R.Murray Schafer.
1977 Curator of international festival Suono / Ambiente in Firenze, Brera & Milano (Italia).
1980 Founded member of Gruppo Aperto Musica Oggi in Firenze and further president of the band in 1994-97.

He has been the director of the Musicologist Unit at the National Italian Research Laboratory (CNUCE / C.N.R.). He has published numerous essays on electroacoustic music, music therapy, sound art, sound ecology and on sound aestetics.
