Dario Rossi is an artist, drummer, percussionist and music producer.
He is one of the best known drummers in the world for the originality and uniqueness of his performances.
His music, and especially his way of producing it, represents an unicum into the electronic scene.
Born in 1988, he started making experiments with sound playing on various surfaces and objects obtaining sound, rhythm and music. Dario began studying drums at the age of ten, and then he enters the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, attending the conservatory at the same time.
In 2011 he leaves for London, where he performs for the first time "on the street", playing a set composed of recycled objects: In a few minutes Piccadilly Circus is crowded by quite an amount of people amazed by Dario’s talent and performance, who at the same time surprised himself by the success of his own experiment. It was the first success, and the beginning of his current project and artistic journey.
Back to Italy, he performs from time to time in different festivals and squares, and in the summer of 2014 the video of his performance in Berlin (Alexander Platz) became viral on the web, receiving the attention of numerous international newspapers and television programs, among which he participated in "Tú Sí Que Vales" (Canale 5), "Soliti ignoti – il ritorno" (Rai 1), and in Germany "TV total" (ProSieben ).
After that incredible exposure, from 2015 his first European Tour takes place in all of the most important capitals and cities: Budapest (Sziget Festival), Amsterdam (Dam Square), Paris (Place de la République), Brussels, Copenhagen, Oslo, Prague, Ibiza, and Barcelona, where he performed during the Sonar Festival at "Platja de la Barceloneta", and later inside the "Plaza Monumental", opening to the performance of the well-known Dj "Luciano".
Dario Rossi is today appreciated by millions of people all over the world, among which also include important icons of the musical scene. He currently performs in clubs, theaters and music festivals across Europe, and in 2018 he produced his first official release "Alarm Clock EP", distributed on vinyl, cd, and digital downloads.
He recently developed his set with the introduction of synthesizers, samplers and electronic pads, with which he performs in real live-set / concerts where he plays live his productions, which meet the electronic music technology and the originality of his percussion.
His show is now more complete and exciting, and will soon be approached to the visual arts with the inclusion of LEDs, visual and video mapping. In 2021 he released “1959”, which is a concept album dedicated to his father. The release is distributed in a limited edition on vinyl, and in digital format. Dario's latest work is a 2022 EP titled "Hic Et Nunc", which was released in CD and digital format. In this period he is working in the studio on the release of a new album, and after the pandemic he returned to perform at festivals and events around the world.
