A trained pianist and long time member of Nico's touring band, mainly as keyboard player. The core band got credited as Faction on the "Camera Obscura" LP in 1985. Later they built their own identity with singer Sharon Quinn, releasing two albums and some singles mostly via Third Mind Records.

In 1992 he published a book about his time on road with Nico titled "Songs They Never Play On The Radio", followed in 1996 by "Moscow Mule" about his travels into the underground scenes in Russia.
