Swedish classical bassoonist, born 1963 in Norrköping.

He has been alternating conductor in the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra 1987–2013 and is now conductor in the Royal Court Orchestra.

Engström appears, in addition to his orchestral work, as a soloist with orchestras in Sweden and abroad. He has been awarded several international awards, including first prize at the international music competition in Geneva, and has given master courses at the Paris Conservatory and the University of Chicago. For many years, Anders Engström has been teaching bassoon playing, chamber music and orchestral playing at the University of Stage and Music at the University of Gothenburg.
