Gary Mallaber

American session drummer, percussionist, vibraphonist, keyboardist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and engineer, born October 11, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, USA.
A founding member of Raven (8) in 1968 he permanently relocated to Los Angeles in 1969 after the band broke up. He is best known with his collaboration with Steve Miller Band.

According to an interview with Gerard McMahon in the 2022 book "Den Sista Dynastin" by Swedish authors Carl Linnaeus and Alex Bergdahl, Mallaber was offered the job as drummer in Kiss, as a replacement when Peter Criss had left in 1980 but he did not accept.
