Juice Wilson
Real name: Robert Edward Wilson
b : January 21, 1904 in St. Louis (USA); died in 1972.Considered as one of the best Jazz violinist of all times, Juice Wilson could also play clarinet and saxophone.
He started his career in Chicago with Eddie South for Jimmy Wade's Orchestra in 1918.
In the 20s, he's in New York with James P. Johnson, then stop playing for study violin again with a german teacher, Joseph A. Ball, in Buffalo.
In 1929, he toured in Europe with the Noble Sissle Band, visiting Paris & London, where he made his only known recordings on violin.
Next year, he came in Italy, Spain and North Africa.
He will only come back in USA in 1965.
