Hans-Kurt Ebert Free Music

Hans-Kurt Ebert

German composer and conductor, generally known as Hans Ebert. Born in Berlin on 15 May 1889. He trained in Düsseldorf from 1913 to 1915, taking a position as Kapellmeister in the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus from 1914 to 1918. In 1921, he moved to the Lessingtheater in Berlin, before returning to the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus from 1925 to 1927. In 1927, he moved to Köln for 2 years to take instruction in composition with Philipp Jarnach. He was employed as a composer with the Kölner Rundfunk until 1933, when he returned to Berlin. He worked in the film industry until 1945, when he took a few years off before returning to work in 1949. He died in Berlin on 31 August 1952.
