Ben, known as the gentle giant, came from Runcorn and later lived in Warrington, UK. He learnt his trade around the clubs in Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales and as his smooth baritone voice got better known he travelled all over the UK and to working holidays in Europe. He became the mainstay of the North Wales festival held in Llandudno each August.
In 2006 he was Inducted to the British Country Music Hall Of Fame
