New Jazz Movement

Real name: Leonard Stephen Barger

This music was composed and recorded by multi-instrumentalist Leonard Stephen Barger in the span of about thirteen years, over which this skill of composing music inspired from the heart has been tested and tried to the point of sheer audio perfection using a combination of real and synthesized instruments to paint the sound!

"Much of the inspiration for the songs had culminated during a trip to the Northern California coastline that had occurred in early summer of 2008. In the time spent in the area about an hour shy of the Oregon border, the artist had found a number of remote viewpoints with breathtaking vista's where the eerie enchantment of the forest with its huge decades old trees casting myriad shadows over jagged cliffs and miles of rugged beaches carved over time by the rough ocean tides and currents".
Having little or no real training or instruction in music or recording made the creation of these songs even more mysterious. In the words of the arist: (I have been touched by the things I have seen here, the beauty of nature unspoiled and new jazz movement is my interpretation of this through the music)".
