Sergio Montori was born in Rome where he also studied composition. His musical training has been so complete and severe as to enable him to solve aesthetic problems as to form and substance, problems referring to definite historical periods ranging from the very beginning of the existence of music up to and including contemporary music, using, of course, every kind of up-to-date means of expression such as cinema, radio, television, electronics and records. Among other things he has been part-manager of some of the most important music publishing companies in the world.
