Dixieland "Neva" was founded by the Kolpashnikov brothers in 1963.
The ensemble was based in the café "Rovesnik" and was one of the most popular jazz collectives in Leningrad.
The ensemble consisted of: Boris Ershov (banjo, vocal), Alexander Kolpashnikov (double bass), Valentin Kolpashnikov (drums), Vsevolod Korolev (trumpet), Gennady Lachmann (clarinet), Alexander Morozov (trombone). In the mid-1960s, Ershov, and then in 1966, Korolev went to the Leningrad Dixieland.
