Real name: Christopher Parker

Christopher "Toph" Parker was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Prolific session drummer and percussionist and leader of The Chris Parker Trio. Father was jazz drummer. Started drumming age three, first paid gig at eleven. While in college, he made his recording debut with country rock group Holy Moses (4). In the mid 1970s, he made his way into R&B/jazz circles in bands like Stuff and The Brecker Brothers. Drummer for Saturday Night Live band 1986-1992.
