"Dandy" Don Meredith (1938 –2010) was an American football quarterback, sports commentator and actor. Is career was only nine seasons (1960–1968) with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He subsequently became a color analyst for NFL telecasts from 1970 to 1984, and was an original member of the Monday Night Football broadcast team, he played the comic foil to Howard Cosell. Meredith was also an actor in a dozen films and in seven major television shows, and had a two-song singing career.
