Members: Chris Xefos, LD Beghtol

Moth Wranglers is a collaborative venture formed in 1998 between Chris Xefos, and LD Beghtol. With Beghtol in Brooklyn and Xefos in San Francisco, their collaboration blossomed through use of technology: email, file-sharing, and mobile telephony to link geographical and conceptual gaps. Guest musicians on MW's two CDs, Never Mind the Context (Magnetic, 2001) and Never Better (Magnetic, 2004) include: Stephin Merritt, Claudia Gonson, Ken Stringfellow, Victor Krummenacher, Jonathan Segel, Christopher Ewen, Dudley Klute, Alison Faith Levy, Doug Hilsinger, and many, many others. By summer 2009, Moth Wranglers had disbanded, and a final digital-only release of outtakes (Never Again) was made available via their Bandcamp page in 2010.
