Born in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
He went from Rhode Island to New York as a professional singer, then to Los Angeles as a Hollywood Film and Television Agent, He became an agent in 1968 and owned and operated a talent agency for actors and writers, "The Ray Rappa Agency" into the 1990's.
He was an artist and repertoire man for Mercury Records. He is the author of his autobiography "Ol' Blue Eyes and My Fickle Fate", which came out in 2015.
