Yoo Chae-young was a South Korean singer, actress, and radio host. She debuted in 1989 at the age of 17 in a group called Punsudeul. In 1994, Chae-young joined group Cool for a short time and in 1995 became the singer for US. In 1996 she turned to becoming a solo artist and went on to make three albums and one single. In 2002, Chae-young began her acting career and debuted in the film Whistling Princess. She got married to businessman Kim Joo-hwan in 2008. Chae-young produced alongside Kim Kyung-sik the radio MBC program "Good Weekend, It's Kim Kyung-sik and Yoo Chae-yeong". Chae-young became diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2013 and passed away on July 24, 2014 at the age of 40.
