Wolfgang Hirschmann Free Music

Wolfgang Hirschmann

German sound engineer and producer. He studied at Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and changed to Hochschule für Musik Detmold for sound engineering (Tonmeister-Ausbildung). He started his career in 1958 at Electrola in Cologne.
He frequently worked with Kurt Edelhagen, recorded all records of Clarke-Boland Big Band, but also specialized into "Neue Musik" by Karlheinz Stockhausen, David Tudor or Mauricio Kagel.
Recorded for Gigi Campi, Friedrich Gulda, produced Gitte Hænning, Lotti Krekel and Marlene Dietrich
Later on he worked with Heinz Gietz and helped him to install the Cornet Studio in 1969, where he worked since then till the 1980s.
