Yiddish actor and singer (b. May 12, 1863 in Lemberg, Galicia, then Austria-Hungary - d. December 14, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, USA)After working as a folk singer and actor with several itinerant theater troupes in Galicia, Bukovina, and Romania and on a tour that led him to Constantinople, Alexandria, and Cairo, Juvelier emigrated to the United States in 1900. In America, he acted on Yiddish stages in New York and Philadelphia till 1932. In 1913, he was the featured guest star of a tour through Argentina.
Juvelier recorded in 1909 with Zonophone, between 1913 and 1915 with Victor, and from 1912-1919 with Columbia.
