American jazz trombonist, nicknamed "Slamfoot", born August 10, 1909 in Dallas, Texas, died April 11, 1982 in New York City, New York.
Minor worked with the Blue Moon Chasers (1926), Walter Page (1927-1929), Ben Smith's Blue Syncopators, Earl Dykes, Gene Coy's Black Aces, Lloyd Hunter, Alphonso Trent (1931), Bennie Moten (1931-1935), Count Basie (1936-1941), Buddy Johnson (1942-1944), Cab Calloway, Mercer Ellington (1945), Lucky Millinder, Willie Bryant.
