Australian Rockabilly band from Adelaide originally formed in 1994; the group released their debut CD “Bop Tonight” in May 1998.
The Satellites’ musical influences stem from all forms of roots music including Country, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Swing, Western Swing, Rock n’ Roll and Rockabilly.
They have performed seven years running at the Wintersun Festival in Queensland (an annual event which attracts around 50,000 people from all over Australia) winning them the awards for ‘Best Performing Band’ in 1999, and ‘Best Australian Rockabilly Band’ four years running from 1998 to 2001 inclusive.
