German saxophonist and arranger, born 5. Januay 1927, died 17. Juni 2009 in Kuppenheim.
He played in Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Leipzig under Kurt Henkels until 1951. Together with Horst Fischer, he then went to Stuttgart, where Erwin Lehn was just putting together his Südfunk dance orchestra. There he was active as a saxophonist, soloist and arranger. In 1958 he decided to switch to the new Südwestfunk Tanzorchester, conducted by Rolf-Hans Müller.
