The Beaver Valley Sweethearts

Effective period / Period of releases: 1951 - 1953

American sister singers/musicians Donna & Colleen Wilson.
They came from Beaver Valley in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. Both of them could do solo numbers and were each expert yodelers. Colleen played guitar and bass while Donna played bass and mandolin. They were active during the 1940s through the mid 1950s.
They were occasionally called "The Wilsons". They were sisters but not twin sisters. They sang with The Pinetoppers as did The Marlin Sisters--and are easily mixed up with them.
