The Diamond Four

Also known as The Diamond Comedy Four and possibly the same as the Diamond Quartette. This was an early recording group that included Steve Porter, Albert Campbell, James Kent Reynard and Will C. (Bill) Jones. They worked as Tin Pan Alley "song pluggers" for the music publishers Joseph Stern and Edward B. Marks. The group recorded several discs for E. Berliner's Gramophone between 1896-1898. Their material consisted of humorous and novelty pieces.
