Big House

Effective period / Period of releases: 1990 - 1992

Members: Jan Ek (2), Sjor Throndson, K.B. Broc, Craig Beakhouse, Jay Scott King

Big House was a group of Canadian hard rockers that mixed equal elements of glam and pop sensibilities on their one and only album.
Big House was formed in Edmonton, Alberta by vocalist Jan Ek and drummer Sjor Throndson, both of who played together in the punk band Down Syndrome. They completed the band with K.B. Broc (guitar) and Craig Beakhouse (bass). By the time the debut album was recorded Beakhouse was replaced by former Back Street Kids and Brunette (the band that featured Hardline's Geoli brothers) bassist Jay Scott King.
They signed to BMG Canada and released one melodic album full of guilty pleasures, before disappearing into thin air.
