He is perhaps most widely known for his time as part of Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour band from 1997 to 2004, and as part of The Levon Helm Band from 2004 to 2012.

Married to singer Teresa Williams, with whom he records & tours as Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams.
