Dave Maclean, alias of José Carlos Gonzales, was a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in São Paulo in September 29, 1944, whose repertoire sung in English was very successful in the 70's in Brazil and Latin America. He is considered one of the most important Brazilian singers to use false English names and pretend to be foreigner, along with Terry Winter and Morris Albert. Died June, 17, 2023, São Paulo, due to complications from bowel cancer.
