Babsan is the drag alter ego of Lars-Åke Wilhelmsson (born September 8th, 1958). Wilhelmsson started out as a successful competitive dancer who went into the drag show business in the 1980s, first as part of a group and later as the solo act Babsan. Since then Babsan has appeared on numerous TV shows , music releases and other events. He has also been a part of the well-known drag show group After Dark for a period.

Lars-Åke is also a successful clothes designer, doing the costumes for Babsan and for numerous musical productions.
