World

Effective period / Period of releases: 1999

Members: Hiroshi Zen, Tadahiko Aono, Akira Kawabata, Kaname Ohara

Japanese noise-grind band from Osaka. Changed name to New World.

Consisting of two singers and a drummer. All the noise is made from a special microphone that Hiroshi Zen used.

The members were referred to as:
Left, noise and vocals by Hiroshi Zen
Center, drums by Tadahiko Aono
Right, vocals by Akira Kawabata

Original drummer was Kaname Ohara, he left the band after the 'Why Who What' 7".

The most notable fact about World's material is that both singers perform their own songs independently on each other. While Right is singing a song by one name, Left is singing a different song with a different name, including different starting and stopping points, and for that reason there are two tracklistings for every release by the band. The number of songs each one of them performs on each release is not always equal, but because they're performed simultaneously, it's nearly impossible to split their audio recordings to individual tracks even (as their starting/ending points are not the same).

Changed name to New World (13) in 2013.
