Malayalam composer and music director, born 1927 in Paravur, died March 15, 2006 in Chennai, India. He scored music for more than 350 Malayalam films in his long career and made as well invaluable contributions to Carnatic music and theatre.He received the Kerala Government's Best Music Director Award five times besides several other honours.
