Marz, a pseudonym for founder, Lead Vocalist, and Producer Marvin Ennis, was first signed with Capitol/EMI/Liberty Records for the debut recording "Make it Right." The group was active from the mid 80s and has gained a cult following around the globe ever since. There are various releases with Producer Lionel Job (Keith Sweat, Starpoint, Joe Public, Tyrese) and Co- Producer/Hit Songwriter/Arranger/Lead Singer/Keyboardist Marvin Ennis. Although group went on to record the cult dance classic "Boyfriend Now" on Prism Records [Biz Markie], and , ultimately, signed with Manhattan Records under Jerry Griffith, the group never gained chart popularity. The group is, however, according to Google, among the top 1000 Funk Bands searched online.

Marvin Ennis, aka Marz, has also penned songs for the late Otis Redding's son's band, The Reddings ("Love is Over") [Columbia Records], Latin superstar girl group "Sweet Sensation" (Bring it Back) , Kenny Lattimore (Funny Feeling) Co-Produced with Superstar R&B Crooner Charlie Wilson [Epic Records], E.U. (Taste of Your Love) [Virgin Records], Starpoint (Never Find a Better Love) Send Me a Letter) [Elektra Records], Jon Secada (No More Wings...to fly away) [Sony 550 Records], as well as the #7 R&B Classic hit by Cliff Dawson and the late Renee Diggs, (Never Say I Do...if you don't mean it [Boardwalk Records].
